About the Course
Lactation Essentials for Birth Professionals is an 8-week live education and mentorship experience designed for doulas, therapists, bodyworkers, healthcare professionals, and other birth and perinatal professionals who want to feel more confident supporting infant feeding. We’ll go beyond lactation basics to explore feeding in real life, including milk production, latch and positioning, pumping and bottles, tongue ties and infant tension, perinatal mental health, neurodiversity, nervous system regulation, and more. You’ll combine evidence-informed education with live mentorship, case discussion, and practical application so you can better understand what you’re seeing with families—and know when and how to support, collaborate, or refer out.
Meet Your Instructor
I’m Heather Eure, PhD, IBCLC, PMH-C, founder of The Lactation Expert. My work sits at the intersection of lactation, perinatal mental health, nervous system awareness, and parent support. I created LEBP because birth professionals are often the people families turn to first with feeding questions—but traditional lactation education doesn’t always prepare you for the complexity of what you’ll actually encounter. My goal is to help you build the knowledge, clinical thinking, and confidence to support families thoughtfully while working within your own scope.
